Week In Review...

This has been quite the week, full of lots of activities.  And although I am super sick today I am much looking forward to a Charity Gala I am attending tonite; cant wait to show you my new shoes!

So as I look forward to a jammed packed weekend as well please enjoy all the colours of dresses from this week in review.  With snow right around the corner it is a reminder of all things pretty is in order.

Enjoy the weekend!

 Jamie King is wearing Oscar de la Renta at the MOCA Gala, proving a black dress never goes out of style!

At the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards Chloe Moretz wore Miu Miu.  My favorite part of this look is the bright gold top with the peter pan collar.  She is 14, and I thought this dress was perfectly suited for her.
Amy Adams at the Muppet premiere in Roland Mouret.  Loved the off the shoulder look with this demure pencil skirt like dress.  I think when the movie your in is the Muppets this was a great red carpet choice.

Now this is my look of the week!
Kristin Stewart in an ink coloured J. Mendel at the Twilight Premiere in L.A.  With her skin colour and dark hair I thought it was a perfect combo.  And with high slits being all the rage it was very trendy choice.  And the belt just added that little extra touch.

Now most people can hot pull off hot pink but Camilla Belle does just that!  At the opening of a new Chopard store she wore this mens tailored detailed Gucci dress cocktail dress.

Week in Review...

Today is Veteran's Day or Remembrance Day pending where you are here in North America.  So I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the past and present men and women who defend, protect and represent our country.  Thank you.  Lest we Forget.

This week has been great, my best friend Cindy came home from London, England for the holidays. Tonite I am having a GIRLS NIGHT OUT at my house complete with champagne and cupcakes to celebrate her arrival back into our social scene.  Blog posts on it all next week including hopefully 'What We ALL Wore'.

Also this week I got my Hudson Bay Canada Olympic Wool Sweater, {this is it} on my doorstop.  I have worn it the past five days in a row, I am obsessed with it.  I should probably rotate it with something else but I can't bring myself to do that yet!

I hope you all had a great week like I had, and most importantly that you take time this weekend to enjoy and recharge your batteries!

Now onto, drum roll please  lol  My week in red carpet review!

Kate Beckinsale in GUCCI at the LACMA Art & Film Gala.  Love her hair slicked back and then full.

A new darker hair Elizabeth Moss wearing this beaded chiffon overlay black dress
at the LACMA Art & Film Gala.

Olivia Wilde wearing this gorgeous peach eye-lit flowered Louis Vuitton dress at the premiere of the movie 'Butter'.  I appreciate the minimalist approach on the jewellery not over powering the dress details.

I mean PUH-LEASE.  How perfectly simple is Michelle Williams in this nude/gold Oscar de la Renta at the premier of  'My Week with Marilyn'.  Sometimes it is true, less is more!

Selena Gomez donned this lace and tulle covered Marchesa mini dress for the Europe MTV Awards.  I love the little pop of colour in the hand bag!

So many nude coloured dresses this week!

Freida Pinto so very glam in this Antonio Bernadi gown at the premiere of 'Immortals'.
Love love love how although it is structured it is so light and airy, and that pearl-finish!

Freida Pinto in this gorgeous and classy Michael Angel dress at a taping of Extra.  I love the neon Roger Vivier shoes that make the yellow in the dress just POP!  Superb choice.

To me the knock out dress of the week was the J. Mendel gown the Taylor Swift wore for the 45th CMA Awards.  The draping and the layering of the grey materials are so elegant they just float.  And I appreciate she is not over styled with a ton of curls in her hair and a bulky necklace.
As I have said before, less is more.
She and this gown are my pick of the week!

Week in Review...

Well I hope you all come to the end of this week feeling like you have done something to improve yourself!
Here is a recap of my week!

Here on the blog, we hit an all-time high of daily viewers and that has felt amazing.  Thank you so much everyone who takes the time to read this blog, means the world.

Starbucks released their Holiday cups, which in turn made me gitty with holiday excitement!

My Grandparents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.  Unreal.  They are the most beautiful couple I know.  We are all blessed they found each other and still have many more years to come!  Congrats to them.

Got tickets to see PRINCE.  Check that off the concert-bucket-list.

Had my first hot chocolate with a peppermint teabag of the season.  Thank you to my college girlfriend Kristy for teaching this trick to me many moons ago.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!  Here the weather is supposed to be sunny and nice, so I am excited to go for a hike, and do some retail-therapy!

Now here are my top looks for the week of red carpet dressings!  Enjoy.

Amanda Seyfried at the UK premiere of the movie, In Time.  She is wearing a H&M suit and blouse.
It is from the same suit line I showcased {here}.  Love Love Love the colour!

This is why red looks good on any shape! va va voom!  America Ferrera at the a photo call in London, England in a Nicole Miller dress.  You can never go wrong with red people!
 {Image}

Anne Hathaway at the Princess Grace Awards in Valentino.  The detailed lattice work on this dress is amazing.  Even being a neutral tone the dress still sings with elegance and 'Grace'.
 {Image}

I am not sure about the 'boob' area on this dress that Kelly Rutherford wore to the L'Oreal Paris Legends Awards however I chose it because of this rich raspberry shade and the texture; it appears to be linen or a crepe.  Proving that satin does not always need to be a go to formal fabric!  Change it up!
 {Image}

And the look of the week goes too, drum roll, Amber Heard in Alessandra Rich.  WOW.  Talk about a body-con dress.  She looked down right amazing in this nude/gold dress at the London Premiere of 'The Rum Diary'.
I am 'gold' with envy!

Week in Review...

I am jumping over the rainbow today that this week has finally come to an end.  After battling food poisoning from Tuesday night I am happy to see the weekend!

On Tuesday night I went to see Mumford and Sons in Toronto with some girlfriends and the concert was amazing.  If you ever get to see them live I would very much recommend it.

Tonite I am going to a friends stag and doe, and then hopefully to see RUM DIARY the new Johnny Depp movie.  Also with Halloween this weekend and being sick no costume party for me, but I feel like I get a free pass! lol

Now onto the week in review!  So many great looks graced red carpets.  I have two top favourites, Duchess of Cambridge and Sandra Bullock so make sure to check them out!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whether your dressed up or not!  Also, don't get  spooked my all the monsters, ghosts and even sexy kittens roaming the streets! lol

Cheers!

Joely Richardson in Marchesa at the London Film Festival screening of Anonymous.

Duchess of Cambridge at a Charity event in London, looking BEYOND Stunning.  I think this is the most daring fashion look she has worn since becoming a Royal, and I hope she continues to make these bold choices because she can very much pull them off.  A top favourite look of the week by far!  Click on the {image} button below to see more angles of this great dress.

Sandra Bullock wearing a dress and a blazer, my classic look..lol A blazer makes any outfit work!  Also, see her bracelet, it's a Pomellato “Tango” brown diamond necklace wrapped around her wrist, what a great way to get a different use out of a piece you may love!
