WIW...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Boo!!
Hope everyone has a spooktacular day!  On Monday you saw what I wore {here} for my Halloween costume and today I will show you what my fantastic girlfriends and sister wore to the party!  Even the dog Stella dressed up; and I would like to add she didn't fight it at all!

Cindy dressed up as a Parisian clown known as a pierrot.  She looked amazing!!!
She went all out with this and it totally payed off! oh la la!

Anglea, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL, went totally 80's to support the decade she was born and I have to say it looks great on her!  Sequins, teased hair and some neon, hands down always a winner!

My sister went as 'the hockey lockout'.  For us Canadians this costume signifies the depression we will now go thru this winter! lol  Doesn't she look darling!

This is Shannon's version of a last minute costume!  Really!  She decided to join us literally the night before and she makes one amazing poodle girl.  Every girl loves some crinoline.  Also side note: this is Shannon's first WIW post on the blog and I couldn't thank her more for doing it!

And now for Stella.  My pup.  I call her adoringly pumpkin (and noodle, long story) and she couldn't be cuter.  I couldn't get her to sit still for a proper photo-op but I wasn't going to complain since I did dress her in this costume and she didn't once try to take it off.  Insert an AHHHH here! lol

And now for the obligatory group shot of the party!!!

Summer Fun...

Oh what a long weekend I had!

My girlfriends {Cindy} and Shannon and myself headed to Montreal for the {Osheaga} music festival.  And it was nothing short of amazing!  Super HOT, humid, rainy on the Sunday, fantastic music and my personal favorite, LOTS and LOTS of laughs!  Bands we saw included, Feist, Garbage, Sheepdogs, Franz Ferninad, The Black Keys, Metric, The Shins, Florence and the Machine, to name a few! 10, 000+ people easily (I have no idea if that is a true number, I am guessing cause crowds were MASSIVE) how could you not have a good time!

Outfit posts will be happening all week, but in the mean time here is 'breif' photo review of the weekend!

Hope you all had a blast with your weekend as well!

Words my mother told us to follow, and so did Osheaga.  Boy were they both right.

Watching the Sheepdogs in a magical forest setting!

Getting all wet on the Sunday!  We festival'd on!

this picture does not do justice to the mass exodus of everyone leaving each night.
1x subway system for all this people made for a loud and smelly trip! lol

Fall Fun...

I had the honor of being the guest of my friend Shannon's parents to the 150th United Italia celebration here in Guelph this past Sunday.  This gala celebration included a concerto of the "AGOGICA" choir from Italy, and then a tasty 6 course meal at the local Italian Canadian Club.

The music was amazing, and as many of us remarked it was more of an Operetta then a choir.  Although I didn't understand a word (sadly, my background is Italian and I do not speak it) I was moved by the songs and the energy and love that the Italian spectators evoked.  In that moment I truly missed my Italian Grandmother who passed away 7 years ago, I knew that she would have loved this event, and I was thrilled that I could be there to enjoy this on behalf of my family.

Then came the dinner; man can Italians eat.  Stuffed by the third course, the speeches, conversation, and utter love for all things Italy kept the night moving right along.  Although I did have to leave and the dessert course had not been served, I was fully fed and left a 'happy Italian' and quite proud of my heritage.

Here are some of the photos from the event itself.

Now Shannon and I got all doll'ed up for the event.  And had much fun doing so.  This is what Shannon chose to wear, doesn't she look great!
