Finds...

Spring is right around the corner, or at least it seems like it!  What now fills mine and best friend Cindy's shopping trips, is trying to find the PERFECT wedding guest dress!  It is not hard for most people I am sure, but we always want to look fantastic, elegant, stylish yet never to out shine the bride; Sometimes this is a fine line to walk.

When {Toni Plus} released their Spring catalog I was ecstatic!  This plus size retailer had three of the most beautiful dresses that would be perfect for such occasions!  The ones below were my favorite picks.  For weddings, showers, engagement parties, all fun events where you get to get a little more jazzed up than usual these dresses would be perfect for!  I can see you all smiling and nodding that you agree with me!..lol

My top pick is the first white and navy dress.  I am a sucker for Navy though! lol  {Toni Plus} has joined the world of social media as well, so let's embrace this upscale shop ladies.  Let's visit their sites, shop their stores and enjoy the luxurious way they will make our curves look!

Metallic Cap Toes...

 Pointy toed shoes are back and in a BIG WAY!  So pull yours out of the back of your closet and dust them off!
The new way of sprucing up any shoe is the metallic cap!  Mostly done in the pointy toe version they are available in every price range, every colour and best yet, flats to sky high heights.

Pull out any old dress you have, re-wear it, but go and add this trendy new addition to it.  Will for sure breathe new life into an old outfit.  If you are strapped for cash, there are TONS of cap toe DIY videos and blogs out there; I am sure you can find zillions on Pinterest.

Just Because...

Just Because...

I had a lovely post all ready to go for today about bright colours, spring time and bunny rabbits (no bunnies that was a joke).  But yesterday afternoon my mother and I decided to drop everything and head to Buffalo to go shopping.  And we did, for 6 hours straight!!!  Shopping is a sport I don't care what anyone says.  Today my muscles are sore, feet hurt, I am super tired, and I would like to think if I could run a marathon this is what the next day would feel like...lol  So in my head I did a retail marathon and let me tell you I got TONS of stuff! Lots and lots of good finds and so many good pieces I cannot wait to share on the blog!  Wait till you see the jacket I am going to wear to fashion week next Wednesday.

In the mean time, today I will relish that it is Friday and tomorrow I can sleep in and put away all my good finds.  I will leave you with some images of exactly how I felt come midnight last night when I finally laid my head to rest!

Finds...

One of my favourite things to do is to shop out of season.  Now some of you might have read that and cocked your head to the side, but honestly you can find amazing fashion deals out there right now.  Since the fashion world works backwards in a way, its freezing outside but spring/summer clothes start hitting the stores now.

One of my favourite tips is to check out your most loved stores online and click on the clearance/sale sections.  They are currently discounting HUGE on all last spring/summer clothes to make room for all the new clothes about to hit their sites.   For example, {ASOS} is having a 70% sale right now and {ZARA} has clothes 50% off, I mean getting a $400 jacket for $200 sounds like a great idea for me.

I personally always shop for spring/summer shoes now.  Those sandals I was eye'ing all last year but could not justify,  are now on clearance.  Just this week I was able to score these shoes from {ALDO} for 50% off.  Got them for $20 each, that's two pairs for the price of one.

 

Now the only issue with doing this trick is sadly that coveted item you always wanted might no longer be in your size.  As much as that sucks think of all the great items you can get for such a great price!  Not to mention buying spring/summer outfits now perks up these billowy cold winter days with the hopes of warm days being around the corner, well kinda!

I hope my little tip gets you some deals you might not have thought of buying since it is winter and well a tank top or shorts might not be the first thing on your mind.

Winter Fun...

Happy Monday Morning FimC readers!

As most weekends go, they happen way to fast!  This weekend was full of lots of fun things for me, especially on Saturday.  The ladies in my family and I spent the day in Toronto shopping at The Bay, Eaton Centre and of course the new Loblaws in the old Maple Leaf Gardens.  We had tons of laughs, each got some great items and by the end of the almost 12 hour day we also had some tired feet!

While at The Bay I got to meet Jessica and Ashlee Simpson who were there to promote their new tween line!  Not a bad day when you get to meet a mogul I think!

 

What I Wore:  swing coat- Old Navy, jeans- Pennington's, top- Forever21, oxfords- ALDO, bag- H&M

I went darker for the winter season.

 

And to top off the post the gorgeous Swarovski Christmas tree in the middle of the Eaton Centre.  Beautiful.
