Today marks 30 days until my annual SKI BUNNY WEEKEND with some girlfriends.  I await this weekend each winter as it seems to be the only thing I enjoy about the later part of Winter.  I am currently ready for Spring and chirping birds, but with Bunny weekend as we endearingly call it on the horizon, I pull down the toque and the boots up and charge thru!

Now I may be a skier (it is making a come back I tell  ya ;) ) deep in my heart I am always jealous of the amazing fashions that snowboarder ladies have that us skiers don't have.  And not to mention they can walk in their boots!! hahaha  So when Burton paired up with Manitobah Mukluks and designed a snowboarding mukluk my jealously soared again! hahaha

So BOARD BUNNIES, add these to your hillside essentials this winter, and make the rest of us waiting in line with you at the chair lift green with envy!  With the tradition of mukluks and Burton behind the boot you know it will be top notch!  I bet you may even board better! lol

Here in Canada when I see fingerless gloves or palm warmers as some may call the, I roll my eyes and think, HELLO it is cold here, why the heck do you even bother to sell them.  I NEED my fingers covered!!  I don't want them to fall off!  Clearly.
Then my next thought is I wish they were practical cause they are always so pretty.  Case in point the ones below from {ASOS}.

So while perusing the web like I do, I stumbled upon this picture, and like a mack-truck it hit me; pair them with leather gloves!!! 

Now for those of you who do this already, congrats you are officially way smarter and way cooler than me.  But for the rest of us that thought fingerless gloves was something we would never do, LOOK how stylish they can be when paired with our leather gloves!

Voila!  My lifetime HATE and ANGER towards fingerless gloves is solved!  Next problem, trying not to purchase every pair of fingerless gloves I will come in contact with going forward.

The internet can be a beautiful thing when you can solve a lifetime Canadian problem in one picture.  lol  Now that might be overkill, but seriously it opened up a whole new world for me..lol

It might be that all I am thinking of lately is the new house and how often I can sprinkle some cottage weekends into there.  I am also checking out sites like {Anthropologie} daily for fun things for the new house and inspiration.

So when {Anthropologie} posted these luxurious sleeping bags I was like WHAT?!?!!  Ah-Mazing!  Then I thought, I do not do glam-ping, but if I did THIS would be the sleeping bag I bring with me.  Could you imagine, no running water, mosquitos but going to sleeping in this thing!  Please, waking up on the ground would be blissful in this sleeping bag.  Now if only there was like a great pillow top mattress under it too, but you get my point!

All you ladies out there who's significant other wants them to go camping this summer and you are protesting your hate, say to them, 'Ok, I will go, but ONLY if you buy me the Florabunda sleeping bag darling'.  Perfect.

Happy Monday!!

Sometimes there is nothing simpler than a white shoe.  White high heels are EVERYWHERE this Spring but a white sneaker is also popping up.  Then again, it never really went anywhere.   A simplistic shoe makes an outfit pop!  Keep an eye out for a white sneaker to add to your closet!

Spring is right around the corner, or at least it seems like it!  What now fills mine and best friend Cindy's shopping trips, is trying to find the PERFECT wedding guest dress!  It is not hard for most people I am sure, but we always want to look fantastic, elegant, stylish yet never to out shine the bride; Sometimes this is a fine line to walk.

When {Toni Plus} released their Spring catalog I was ecstatic!  This plus size retailer had three of the most beautiful dresses that would be perfect for such occasions!  The ones below were my favorite picks.  For weddings, showers, engagement parties, all fun events where you get to get a little more jazzed up than usual these dresses would be perfect for!  I can see you all smiling and nodding that you agree with me!..lol

My top pick is the first white and navy dress.  I am a sucker for Navy though! lol  {Toni Plus} has joined the world of social media as well, so let's embrace this upscale shop ladies.  Let's visit their sites, shop their stores and enjoy the luxurious way they will make our curves look!

While reading {ClassyGirlsWearPearls} which I do frequently she posted wearing this beyond adorable bow dress from Kate Spade.  Since I cannot afford it, I went searching for a lower cost version and POOF I did!

Below are the mainstream size and plus size {Forever21} version of this bow dress.  How perfect would this dress be to wear to all types of events this year; graduations, baptisms, weddings, engagement parties.  Bows are perfect way to add some femininity to any event you will attend!

And this Fall/Winter had these amazing studded Chloe boots on everyone that could afford them!  Me, not so much!  However, with them being from the Fall 2008 Chloe collection it gave mainstream retailers time to play catch up and develop their own version of this insanely popular ankle boot.

This time of year when boots are an essential element I always resort to rolling up my jeans.  Sometimes they don't look good over them or in them.  When I saw the picture of SJP wearing boots and jeans I couldn't help but notice this AWESOME ROLL UP!  I am totally going to have to try this!  It adds some great dimension to a traditional fold.

While doing some online window shopping I came across an accessory that made me do a double take;
the thigh harness!

Now, I sport a wrist harness every now and then, people do them in their hair, earrings, but I have never seen one on a thigh.  Perplexed by it I began browsing who sells them, well turns out here on {Etsy} lots of people do!  The original one I came across was on my favorite shopping website {ASOS}.  Now I think this is super easy to DIY, so perhaps this fall I will purchase some thin chainmil and make my own.  Maybe..lol

Last Thursday {post} was all about the trendy backpack and how not only students can wear it; today's post is taking a traditional school/office item and how {Gorjana-Griffin} made it super stylish.  The paperclip!

Going with yesterday's theme that jewellery can be art, so can a paperclip!  In rose gold or yellow gold, this cuff, earrings and necklace would be a perfect gift for a teacher or student in your life.  Or, if you just happen to love kitschy jewellery how great are these pieces!

I know some viewers went back to University this week and I am sure they rushed out to buy their back to school back pack! hahaha  But backpacks are not just for the students anymore; they are an item/accessory that is for all the ladies and gents. 
All the major retailers are taking the backpack and making it super fashionable!  You can find them from low end stores like Forever21 to ALDO and working your way up to what I know as the MOST expensive backpack from The Row.
With so many options, you will not feel like a student but the most fashionable person in your office and on the street!  Just think of all the fun items that will fit in it that don't fit into your handbag! lol

While reading one of my favorite daily blogs {ohhappyday} she did a feature post on  {inflateddeflated} and just like that I FELL IN LOVE!
These prints, yes they are prints, of deflated balloons would be the perfect addition to any wall!  I need to put an order in ASAP, I think they would make for a great conversation pieces even a perfect gift.

It is Wednesday, mid week, and I can almost smell this up coming long weekend.  This weekend we will celebrate all things CANADIAN as July 1st (Sunday) is Canada Day. 

Here are ten things I will make sure get done this weekend:

1. Drink a Canadian beer or many Canadian beers

2. Wear as much Canadian inspired clothing I can

3. Try to find a beaver and shake his/her hand for such good national representation

4. Lie on a beach and forget that it will be snowing soon enough

5. I will at least once break out into song and sing the national anthem off tune

6. Eat poutine (if you do not know, it is THIS)

7. Watch fireworks

8. Be VERY thankful for this great land and the opportunities I have because I was born here

9. Send my American cousins a HAPPY CANADA DAY text

10. Laugh LOTS

Well Happy Monday Morning Everyone!!

After some computer issues this moring and never enough coffee here is today's post!

Weekends are always filled with errands or if your lucky a trip to the beach for the weekend!
I have been doing all my errands while 'tote'ing' around with my {FEED bag} and I am comletly in love with it.  So it got me to thinking since this bag brings me joy why not show off a few totes that can add some pizazz and joy to you while running errands!

Find a tote that has some personality, a canvas bag that has a great picture on it!  The simpliest things sometimes are the grandest.  Big or small its all about finding a bag you love so you will use it again and again!  Can't you just see a nice bouquet of flowers, some seasonal fruit or even a great antique find in these bags!  Or like me regular old toothpaste for 'that' type of errand!  lol

Some times the easiest way to put a little pep in your wardrobe is to buy a funky new accessory.  Something fun and easy, and not to expensive.  I found these adorable clutches by famous interior designer {Jonathan Adler} who recently is making his way into the fashion business.

I think these clutches are a perfect little addition into your summer wardrobe without breaking the bank.  Plus they are a great little conversation starter; I can see it now, "Does your handbag have a scooter on it? Well yes it does!" lol  My favourite is the speedo one!  I should admit I have a thing for men in speedos, weird I know.  But if they are fat, old and have a mullet I swoon with glee! hahaha  Something you all now know about me and can now mock me for but I won't care!

Mother's Day is around the corner, what did you get your mum?  I cannot tell you what I have gotten my mother cause as a great mum she reads this blog :)

For the mum who is trendy, on the go, likes comfort, why not get her a pair of these wicked {TOMS}.  They are very unique and every time someone asks her about them she can boast about you! GRIPE/FIND...

I haven't come across a GRIPE in a couple weeks that I found 'blog worthy'.  I will take this as a testament that there are a lot of nice clothes out there right now, or at least I should say very versatile pieces.
So instead I decided to show you this awesome {TopShop} jumper that I found!  I can see it being worn by lots of people!  It screams 'wear me to a party' and I would do just that.  The thing I will GRIPE about today is finding pieces like this that are awesome and I want desperately but cannot buy because I can not justify them because I have no where it wear it.  le sigh.  Someone please have a fabulous party where I can wear an entire sequined outfit please, my inner diva needs to SHINE!

Coachella

Coachella is coming up this weekend in California, and I like to think of it as the un-offical launch of Summer concerts.  While I have never had the opportunity to go, I do relish in the pictures that flood the internet of what people wore.

The above are some outfits I selected that I would wear to a desert concert series such as Coachella, but I also think these outfits are perfect for concerts up here in Ontario this Summer too.  The best blend is always, comfort, meets bohemian meets trendy; mix all those and you can never go wrong.

Ahhhh, the Easter Long Weekend is upon us here in Canada, and with a long relaxing stretch of weekend I couldn't be more happy! 

Easter marks the start of spring and the onset of PASTEL everything in stores!  As I am not one that owns many pastel colours (find they don't go so well with my skin tone) I couldn't help but showcase some of the many pieces that are out there now to purchase.  Either it is a dress, jeans, an accent of pastel with a bag or shoes, a very trendy piece this Spring is to have something pastel on.  Click on the clothes to see where to buy the piece.

Good Morning!!!

Last night while watching Celebrity Apprentice, reality TV star Teresa Giudice graced the boardroom in a dress that made me squeal with joy!  This black and green beaded cocktail dress was amazing, I immediately hoped on the laptop and tried to find it.  Numerous Google searches later and no luck, so I decided to TWEET her and Voila she tweeted me back, insert second squeal here!  The dress is made by MANDALAY and from what I could find it is from 2011 as seen on Carrie Underwood at an appearance below but it is gorgeous none the less.  Below are some screen captions I took and tried to show you all angles of the dress.  Also, you can purchase Mandalay dresses from {Neiman Marcus} and let me tell you they have some great dresses.  Now if only it could hang in my closet, I know so many places I would love to wear it to.
