Summer Errands... 

Keeping with yesterday's theme of outfits that SCREAM summer, I saw a lovely lady wearing this outfit at the beach over the weekend and knew I had to share it will you all.  Lace shorts are in full force this year and pairing with a simple black tube top is a perfect balance.  Party on the bottom and business on top!..lol  Adding a great boho bag (FEED bags are for a great cause) and some t-strap sandals and you are set.

I love the simplicity of this look, fresh and comfy; perfect for all summer patios and errands!

GRIPE...

First, Hope  you had a great Summer Solstice!!!  It was hot hot hot!!  But a beautiful night none the less!

I love rompers.... I support the peplum trend... I love a great sexy leg... combine them all together and I am GRIPING!!!  This is a "knicker short with peplum" item for sale for $38 Cdn!  It looks like a BATHING SUIT!!!  Now I would admire the confidence for a woman to wear this don't get me wrong, but where would you wear this?!?!  At first I thought it was a retro bathing suit and then when I realized it was clothing I was SHOCKED.  And aren't knickers underwear to most peopel?!

Summer Fun...

ahhh back to work we all go!

I had a fantastic weekend away up at our family's summer home.  Lots of bike riding, too much candy, oodles of laughs, only thing I wish was I slept more! hahaha

As this INSANE week approaches, I think I will get no rest, wish someone else would do my dishes and mow my lawn; but I look forward to seeing many groups of friends, a beer/cheese event, yoga, rowing, book club and capping of the weekend with a dear friends bachlorette party.

And with that I will take a deep breathe and think of the positives!

Adore...

As the humidity begins to creep into my daily life, getting dressed becomes quite the sweaty obstacle.  Trying to put together outfits that breathe and that don't stick to you becomes the challenge.  Lately I have been living in linen pants, tank tops and rompers.  Basically anything that breathes!

Here are some looks from a great site {FabSugar} that I totally love for this time of year.  These ladies prove when it is hot out, simple is the best way to go! 

Oh! Please make a note of the shoes in the first two pictures.  These strappy sandals are back and back in a BIG way!!  So be sure to sport a pair this summer!

Coachella

Coachella is coming up this weekend in California, and I like to think of it as the un-offical launch of Summer concerts.  While I have never had the opportunity to go, I do relish in the pictures that flood the internet of what people wore.

The above are some outfits I selected that I would wear to a desert concert series such as Coachella, but I also think these outfits are perfect for concerts up here in Ontario this Summer too.  The best blend is always, comfort, meets bohemian meets trendy; mix all those and you can never go wrong.

Summer time has some great cocktail napkins out.  This is one from a 50^th birthday party I went to a couple weekends back.  I think this just might be the best one I have ever seen!  Have a chuckle at this napkin’s expense!

Inspiration...

It’s amazing, even when things are all monochromatic, they still stand out!  Her outfit is fresh and easy, just what a summer day in the city should look like.  I should add some more blush/nude pieces to my wardrobe ASAP.

Saw this picture of Eva Mendes walking across a parking lot in LA on the blog-roll today.  This is how a hot summer day of errands should look like.  Not to over the top yet super stylish.  A+ for her!
