Over the past week of none-blogging I was able to capture a few outfits that I loved and I knew I wanted to share with you all.

Love the look of this backless floral top and that STUNNING mustard pencil skirt.  

This is how fashionable people do dinners/lunch, shit, how they do everything!  

This outfit screams luxurious summer!

Toni Collette makes me want to wear my jumpsuit everywhere.  Simple beachy hair and a great bracelet equals effortless Summer comfort.  Tres chic.

Cameron Diaz wearing this outfit while filming scenes for a movie, and this is the exact look I want to channel up at the beach.  Short shorts, a light-weight knit and barefoot!  Oh! Don't forget the wine, I want a glass of it too!  Hampton's easy breasy look, I will re-create this, it is a MUST!

I mean, puh-lease!  If only EVERYONE dressed up this much for an airport!   The colours are bold and bright yet muted at the same time.  I never would have paired a yellow jacket vest with the baby blue pants, but if I owned any items similar to these I would for sure be wearing them together from now on!  

Which reminds me, I should get a jacket vest asap!

Short-suits are all the rage this summer, and I love navy and even more so a sequin..lol  When Elsa Pataky wore this outfit I was like SCORE, perfection!  Again like all the looks above simple, clean and not over done, just enough.  In the Summer you can NEVER go wrong with toned legs and navy, so get on it ladies!

Ahh.... Back in the office after a long weekend.  Never easy!  And back to blogging after a very distracting couple of weeks (sorry again) not easy.  So I am pulling up my big girl panties and getting it ALL DONE.

When major blogger {Atlantic-Pacific} posted this suit dress a week or so ago I swooned.  My job is not this fashion forward so sadly I would look like a fish out of water wearing it here, but how simple and pulled together is this look!  Simple and clean, no fuss no muss!  Sometimes a simple suit dress is just what the office ordered!  Anyone would slay at the boardroom table in this feminine/masculine look.  Even RAISE worthy!..lol

When I say I golf and love it, doesn't mean I am the greatest at it.  I mean let's get real!  I play under ten times a year (I would play more if my girlfriends golfed.. ahem ladies!) so I am not joining the PGA tour anytime soon, or challenging Tiger for any titles.  However, I LOVE IT.  Something about the challenge, the open courses, and the beer.  HELLO!  Sports are all better if you can drink while playing them!..lol

This week in my email {Kate Spade} announced there were launching a tongue and cheek golf accessories collection, my inner golfer girl squealed!  Would that amazing golf ball necklace improve my game?  Does the old adage, if you look good you play good?  Dress for the game you want to win ring true?  As much as I want to try it all out, sadly with the new house these golf trinkets will only be a figment of my imagination.

I will continue to strut my butt around the course, hit my balls, putt for the win all while imagine that I am carrying a {Kate Spade} tote bag with me.  lol Cause a girl can dream!  And Tiger, I got you next year!

My sartorial jaw dropped last night when I saw Ms. Mindy Kaling at the FOX upfronts for her show, The Mindy Project.  What an AMAZING look!  I loved it!  The robins egg blue, with the green belt and the metallic shoes was simply perfection.  And the little side slit, this dress was made for her gorgeous curves. 
I need this dress!  This has to be one of my most favorite red carpet looks on anyone in a long time!  Classic, elegant, fun and hip this look had it all.  She knocked this one out of the park.  Also love the messy side plait adding some 'post sex hair' type of vibe.

I love her show, I love her comedy and now with this outfit she is officially my newest girl crush.

Now for this picture.. I just loved Jessica Chastain in robin's egg blue strolling down the streets of Paris with her very sexy man hand in hand.  When I dream, this is my life on a Sunday afternoon in Paris, it's picture perfect.

All over the streets last year were Lucite clutches carried by all the 'important' fashion ladies.  And now they have hit the mainstream market with retailers like Zara and Aldo carrying them.  Easy enough to DIY and make all your own, showing off your handbag goods is all the rage.  Not wanting to show your new fav MAC lipstick, then place your items inside a great little cloth bag like a makeup bag or a coin purse and immediately your clear clutch is special!
I actually LOVE this clutch and can't wait to purchase one for myself.   And when I do, my BB will def need a new cover on it for display purposes! lol

Well Ravens won the Super Bowl last night, my family had a blast playing commercial Bingo, and the Queen B herself did that halftime show.

Beyonce, was stunning as usual, made us all jealous with her legs.  She sported this leather and lace body suit by small NYC designer Rubin Singer.  He will now become a household name.  LOVED the outfit, although near the end I was super nervous she was going to put her heel through the lace and have a whoopsie wardrobe issue, but she did not.  And we cannot forget to mention the black knee high socks she and ALL the dancers wore.  New trend?

Destiny's Child reunion happened too, in leather body suits and knee high socks too.  Sadly I thought this part was lack luster, Kelly and Michelle's microphones were so quiet I could hardly hear them hit a note.

Overall I felt 'meh'.  Thought there could have been MORE, ahem, her hubby Jay-Z could have sang! 
But cannot knock the girl, is was superb to watch.

Now, how do I get those legs!?!?

Well it is cold out.  It is a Canadian Winter.  So why not cherish and adore the 'Canadian Tuxedo'.

This past weekend I had my first Holiday Party!  I decided to sport a HAIR BOW to just be extra festive!

Here are some 'meh' photos that I took.  It was late and I didn't even think to use my 'real' camera..lol

 

I didn't get the idea from Lady Gaga but from watching Rachel Ray earlier that day!  I put up the video above that is not only good for a chuckle but a GREAT tutorial on how to do it!

I adored this look and it added some great whimsy to my ugly sweater for sure!  I might even do it again this coming weekend for another Holiday Event!

What is your favorite colour Carlie?  I always say BLACK.  And yes it is a shade and yes it is a neutral but it is my favorite.  It is classic, stylish, goes with EVERYTHING, black looks good on everyone, and best yet, it is available year-round!  Oh and it's slimming ;) something this curvy girls always enjoys!

When photos a week or so came out from the {LACMA} benefit, see the chartreuse post {here} these eight stunning celebrities came to the event in head to toe black.  How chic!  It once again reminded me that this colour is so timeless and perfect for EVERY occasion.  And I LOVE an all black ensemble. So when in doubt people, wear all black!

And as I type this I am in all black today.  I practice what I preach.

I am a huge fan of Olivia Wilde's style and when I saw these paparazzi shots yesterday I fell in love with this outfit!  I never would have thought to have paired a long sweater with my crop denim jacket. I have all the pieces that make up this look, most of us would they are all great basics, so it is super easy to recreate.  As long as nothing crazy happens with the weather, I will be wearing this look this weekend!

Although this list seems kind of odd because right now here, I feel like fall was completly skipped over and it feels like winter already!  However I cannot over look this list becasue it does include some of my favorite things.  And even when Fall ends, some will roll into winter and keep a smile on my face ie. cinnamon scented candles.

So as this season 'falls' behind us quicker than we would like, don't forget to take a deep breath and enjoy all the little things around you that only seem to happen once a year!

Before we know it will be the holiday season and then we will be wishing for warmer weather.

Happy 1st BLOG Anniversary!!

I cannot believe it has been a year since I took a chance and went on this creative adventure.  I blog about all the things I love and I hope that you adore them as well; and if not, well, I hope you like the GRIPES! lol

I still am not sure what the goal is or where this blog will take me but, I do want to thank you all for coming on this journey with me!
