A few weeks ago I went to a store opening of a fellow blogger Karen Ward, her store {YourBigSistersCloset} clever name eh!
This is the outfit I wore.  Casual, a punch of colour, and for all of you who are going to ask did I wear a coat? NOPE!  It was that super warm day, lots of sun, I soaked it all in!

Afternoon casual is brought up a notch with this electric blue lace top!  Goes perfectly with some flats and a touch of girly with the bib necklace.  Saturday afternoon coffee dates just got a little fancier! lol

I am a huge fan of Olivia Wilde's style and when I saw these paparazzi shots yesterday I fell in love with this outfit!  I never would have thought to have paired a long sweater with my crop denim jacket. I have all the pieces that make up this look, most of us would they are all great basics, so it is super easy to recreate.  As long as nothing crazy happens with the weather, I will be wearing this look this weekend!

Inspiration...

The every changing wardrobe of Pippa Middelton is something that keeps the world on its toes!  Everyday popular websites show you her walking to work.  She must like the attention, cause she never changes her route to avoid the papparazzi.

Here is what she wore everyday going to work last week! hahaha  What I like most about her style, its simple.  Everyone has these pieces or similar things that can be worn in a variety of ways.  Its effortless casual style.  Just like her Royal sister she is an everyday girls girl.

Which look is your favourite?  Mine is the blue coat, I love a great coloured jacket.

Also, the bag she carriers in the first three photos is now available about {TownShoes}, although not sure if there are any left considering {Modalu} the maker of the 'Pippa' bag only had 600 in Canada.  Shout out to  my cousin Sarah who was lucky enough to get her hands on one though!

The look seen here by Hilary Duff is sooo easy to re-create.  I have chosen pieces all from popular Canadian stores, and the whole look WITH the UGGS is just over $300.  Click on the images to see where the items are from.  Now I know that seems like a lot, but, everyone has these pieces in their closet already I am sure!  So put them all together and you too can look like a casual celebrity out doing your errands!  This is look is effortless yet very much put together.

So this long weekend has kicked my butt!  I got so relaxed, getting back into the swing of the blog has been harder then I thought.  Made a mental note to have some blogs prepared before a long weekend so the comeback is easier next time!

This week I am dedicating the blog to my style icons.  Some might surprise you, some you might never even have heard of.  I think by me showcasing these ladies you will get a better sense of where I draw my fashion inspiration from and even inspire you perhaps!

Inspiration numero uno; Charlize Theron.  She is an actress, an activist and an overall guy’s girl.  Just my kinda lady!  Although her red carpet looks are always stunning, she wears colours that always compliment her skin tone, especially jewel tones.  For me, since my red carpet looks are limited, it’s her casual day to day style that I covet.  My love of all things blazers came from her.  I once saw a pic and was sold that I could rock it too.  My friends know I sport a blazer every where and I think if she can do it so can I!
