Adore...
My sartorial jaw dropped last night when I saw Ms. Mindy Kaling at the FOX upfronts for her show, The Mindy Project. What an AMAZING look! I loved it! The robins egg blue, with the green belt and the metallic shoes was simply perfection. And the little side slit, this dress was made for her gorgeous curves.
I need this dress! This has to be one of my most favorite red carpet looks on anyone in a long time! Classic, elegant, fun and hip this look had it all. She knocked this one out of the park. Also love the messy side plait adding some 'post sex hair' type of vibe.
I love her show, I love her comedy and now with this outfit she is officially my newest girl crush.

WIW...
I had one heck of a busy weekend, and look forward to a lighter social calender this coming week!
On Friday I was invited to a wedding of an old friend and was more than thrilled to watch her become a wife and to wear this new dress! lol
I have never really worn orange before but being as it is the colour of 2012 I took a chance.
Plus I LOVE the back of it! Navy has always been a favourite and the longer hem of grey in the back was a great little touch of design that I adored.

GRIPE...
Today's GRIPE is brought to us by tinfoil. lol
The bandage dress is an all important dress nowadays, everyone has one. And most people rock it and look AMAZING in them. However, this silver lame, tinfoil bandage dress is nothing but a GRIPE. You can wear this dress to reflect the suns rays, you can wear it cook food on your stomach, and you can even wear it and I am sure you will be able to make contact with those on other planets. But you cannot wear it and look good. Some things should remain in a store and work their way down the markdown trail; Full price, sale, clearance and then just disappear, and this should be this dress' destiny!
HAPPY GRIPE DAY!

WIW...
This past weekend I had bridal shower to attend. Decided to wear a great pop of colour since it is Spring after all! Sadly it was pouring outside and the sandals I wanted to wear I couldn't and then this photo shoot came inside. My apologies. A detail on this dress that you can barely see cause of the statement necklace is the lazer cut out on the neckline of this dress. All about the little details.
This is WHAT I WORE!
PS. Enjoy your weekend!

Event Clothing - OSCARS...
Second to my birthday and maybe Christmas, OSCAR Night is my favourite night of the year! It is a day when I get lost in everything that it is about, the fashion, the awards, the people, the ESSENCE of Hollywood. Since I was little the OSCARS to me was always a highlight!
Since this is a fashion blog I want to of course run down all the red carpet fashions!! I was slightly disappointed this year that there was not a lot fashion risks, no major drama dresses, something about the night that I thought needed more DRAMA. But overall a great night for fashion!
Trends that were seen in full affect were: column dresses, peplums, nude/white/blush colours, small vintage necklaces, texture texture texture on dresses, cuff bracelets and side swept hair!
TOP looks of the night go to, Gwenyth Paltrow, Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone and Angelina Jolie.
* Something to take note of is that all of my TOP looks these ladies had MINIMAL looks, almost no jewellery on. They let just the dresses speak. Kudos to their stylists for not going OVER the top when they easily could have. That old expression, less is more ladies.
I think great dresses that got over looked because the ladies were HOSTING the red carpet coverage, Giuliana Ranic and Louise Roe.
On a night full of glitz and glamour why not go for FULL out sequins!

Although I don't think ANYONE made worst dress list, my least favourable looks were from Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Lopez. I know J.Lo is on the top of many lists for best dressed however I just was not feeling it at all.
Kristin Wig, California chic. Texture and cuffed bracelet, although I think adding a second cuff would have added more pop.
Maya Rudolph, berry-licious plum. Side swept hair.
Melissa McCarthy, va va voom! Nude/blush tones.
Milla Jovovich, model stare at a max! First to grace the carpet and set the bar SUPER high.
Natalie Portman, sweet in dots! Not many people can wear dots at the OSCARS but it works.
Octavia Spencer, rocking this neutral off white sparkler.
Rooney Mara, stark and stunning! Very Modern and cutting edge, literally, look at those bangs!
Sandra Bullock, statuesque! Making white, black and gold a winning combination!
Michelle Williams, a vision in coral! Talk about trends all in one, peplum, texture and a small vintage necklace, it is everything beautiful wrapped up in a little bow. The bow is even on her hip!
Shaleine Woodly, young and fresh. It was the cut outs on the torso that made this dress.
Tina Fey, effortless chic. Made the peplum and a high bun the classiest look on the carpet.
Viola Davis, green with ENVY! Only woman to wear a BRIGHT colour, hands down great choice.

GRIPE...
For this weeks GRIPE I struggled to find the right way to describe {this} dress I found on ASOS. Does anyone else agree it looks like this girl just hiked a skirt up to her boobs? I looked at the picture harder and it is a dress but the sheath cut of the dress is not really the issue, the real problem is the materials they chose to use. It really does look like separates, and the skirt is yanked up.
Hmmm..awkward..... HAPPY GRIPE!

Gripe...
WEDNESDAY GRIPE! I do have a love for gold but not gold lame. This dress I think only belongs on a POLE, if you know what I mean...lol Maybe this dress could be worn for a bachlorette party etc, but it definitely needs to be in a shameful party venue, or maybe just maybe, I should go as an OSCAR for Halloween, cause this would totally work for it! Oh the ideas are rolling now! I mean it looks like rolled out gold tin foil! lol
Enjoy the GRIPE!!!

Finds...
This dress just came up to purchase on the {Forever21} I can’t wait to get my hands on it! It’s the perfect type of dress that will take you from summer to fall. In the summer with a great chunky heel and some great tanned bare legs; then come the fall/winter a great ankle boot and opaque black tights. It’s sassy yet sophisticated, young but elegant. I hope it will be hanging in the closet soon!

Wish List...
Have you seen this dress before?! I am sure you have!
The Prada Multi-coloured Spring 2011 dress has been WAY over publicized. I first saw it Hailee Steinfeld at this years Oscars and thought what a perfect dress for a young lady.
Then it came out on the cover of, Harper's Bazaar Singapore February 2011, Elle Magazine April 2011, Harper's Bazaar UK July 2011, Flare May 2011, Elle Belgiƫ's May 2011 issue, InStyle UK June 2011, and I was SOOOO over this dress.
Then to my surprise {asos} last week came out with their copy of it. Now the question is; do you buy into a trend that is OVER WORKED or buy into it because I CAN now have this Prada look-a-like?
Decisions, Decisions!
