I think it is 'Canadian' thing to do vacations in the winter.. go figure..lol
When I was in Ottawa a few weeks back I dressed for the weather yet pretty for all the tourist photos.  Spending 8 hours walking in the cold you have to be practical, 'pretty' goes out the window quickly.

I have not seen 6am on a clock in 10 days and let me tell you it has taken its toll!  Hope you all are tackling back to work post holidays with style and grace!

Christmas at my house is not a 'fancy' occasion at all but this year I went with a full on sparkle theme!  Why not right!  Better always be over dressed then under!

These are my new sparkly {TOMS} that I got as a present on Christmas morning!  Love them!

This is my new {Michael Kors} sweater that I bought at {Lord&Taylors} when Cindy and I went to Detroit for shopping.  Ready to hear this, regularly $110 USD I got it for, drum roll, $9.99 USD. BAM!  Love a great deal!

A little sparkly hoop earring is always a good addition to an outfit!  I love all the blown out sparkle on this picture.

And of course, what post about Christmas would be complete without the tree!  It might take my mum days to decorate but man oh man she does one heck of a catalogue tree!

{Selfridges&Co} in London, UK is one of the most amazing department stores in the world.  Not to mention it has the world's largest shoe department; it even made me swoon in person when I saw it in 2010.
Every year their window displays are amongst some of the greatest in the world.  The above video shows you how they do just that!  Enjoy the splendor of the Selfridges WHITE CHRISTMAS window!

Winter Fun...

On Saturday night my girlfriend Angela and her fiancee hosted an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!  I could not have been more thrilled to attend this party as it was my first ugly sweater party.  While shopping in Detroit with the best friend Cindy days previous, we found awesome men's sweater vests.  We then hit up {OldNavy} for some turtlenecks; while trying on clothes out of no where Cindy states that she thinks our sweater vests need mustaches!  I laughed hysterically and said of course let's do it!  And with that said, Carlie aka BRUCE and Cindy aka Wayne attended the festive party.  Suffice to say I think our staches were a hit.  lol

Winter Fun...

I do so much blogging sometimes I forget to post on events and outfits I have worn in the past weeks.  This is one of those posts.


Three weeks ago my girlfriends Cindy (right), Shannon (middle) and I attended a casion night themed Gala hosted by {CarStar} to raise funds for {CysticFibrosisCanada}.  The event was held at {Carmens} in Hamilton and we got all dolled up to attend!  Cindy is wearing this great maxi from {DorothyPerkins}, Shannon's LBD is from {leChateau} and mine is Michel Antoni for {AdditionElle}.  A combination of accessories from {leChateau}, {Aldo} and {Payless} round out the looks.

All girls need a little bling right?  Check out all three of us were sporting some MA-JAH cocktail rings.

This night is one of my favourite of the entire year!  Not very often men wear tux's or great three-piece suits and we get to pull out our fanciest outfits for a night out.
I am already looking forward to the next gala and what we will all wear!

Cindy and I were lucky enough to win tickets to "The Time is Now" fashion show hosted by model Liis Windischmann and her new endeavor, {OnTheCurveEvents}.  Her mission is to bring curvy girl fashions to the fore front of what is happening in the fashion industry; well she did it.  The event was attended many bloggers and industry folk, the models were from {BenBarry} and stores like {GussiedUp}, {Toni+}, {LolaandGigi} and many more supplied all the fashions.  We had a great night out in the city so big thanks to Lise for having the event!  Not to mention it was fantastic to meet some other bloggers that embrace their curves!!

Winter Fun...

Happy Monday Morning FimC readers!

As most weekends go, they happen way to fast!  This weekend was full of lots of fun things for me, especially on Saturday.  The ladies in my family and I spent the day in Toronto shopping at The Bay, Eaton Centre and of course the new Loblaws in the old Maple Leaf Gardens.  We had tons of laughs, each got some great items and by the end of the almost 12 hour day we also had some tired feet!

While at The Bay I got to meet Jessica and Ashlee Simpson who were there to promote their new tween line!  Not a bad day when you get to meet a mogul I think!
