30 to THIRTY...

Day 24 to THIRTY...

When I was 24 I....

Graduated college, with a degree I currently don't use and have zero future of using.  Yeah for secondary education and student loans! hahaha 

Backpacked around Europe with my best friend {Cindy}.  We both had finished our schooling (before she went to vet school in England) and we took all of our savings and hit Europe.  We spent 3 months traveling and laughing before I had to call my parents and ask for them to pay for my flight home.  We visited 18 countries and 47 cities.  We made friends from all over the world, took a couple thousand photos, made memories that we still laugh about, and inside jokes that no one but us will ever understand.  We bonded and became closer than ever.  No one ever says, 'backpacked Europe and had a shitty time', so as expected it was a time in our lives that we will never be able to relive but will relish forever.

Just Because...

Well the week of Cindy has come and gone.... and no doubt she will be on the blog again soon enough!!  In the mean time I thought I would show you some jumping shots we took a few weeks back!!  With friends like this I will always be jumping into fun things!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Hope everyone has a spooktacular day!  On Monday you saw what I wore {here} for my Halloween costume and today I will show you what my fantastic girlfriends and sister wore to the party!  Even the dog Stella dressed up; and I would like to add she didn't fight it at all!

Cindy dressed up as a Parisian clown known as a pierrot.  She looked amazing!!!  

She went all out with this and it totally payed off! oh la la!

 

Anglea, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL, went totally 80's to support the decade she was born and I have to say it looks great on her!  Sequins, teased hair and some neon, hands down always a winner!

 

My sister went as 'the hockey lockout'.  For us Canadians this costume signifies the depression we will now go thru this winter! lol  Doesn't she look darling!

 

 This is Shannon's version of a last minute costume!  Really!  She decided to join us literally the night before and she makes one amazing poodle girl.  Every girl loves some crinoline.  Also side note: this is Shannon's first WIW post on the blog and I couldn't thank her more for doing it! 

 

And now for Stella.  My pup.  I call her adoringly pumpkin (and noodle, long story) and she couldn't be cuter.  I couldn't get her to sit still for a proper photo-op but I wasn't going to complain since I did dress her in this costume and she didn't once try to take it off.  Insert an AHHHH here! lol

On Monday I showed  you {WIW} on my Friday night out.  Since today is Friday I thought I would show you what my monochromatic partner in crime best friend wore!!  I have shown you before what {Cindy} has worn and she always has great style and great eye for mixing high and low pieces.  Since we think so alike this is how we both ended up in same coloured outfits completely by random!

I so appreciate people willing to model their clothes for this blog and I especially love being able to show you my fantastically stylish friends!

Its been a  solid week since these pictures were taken and just like last Friday I could you use some champagne it has been a long week! hahaha 
Enjoy what is the 'last full day of Summer', break out in pure joy that right around the corner is leather, mitts, knits and everything plaid and comforting.  Oh Fall, I love thee! hahaha

Today's WIW post really should read, WCW, What Cindy Wore!  When you have such gorgeous and stylish friends I must ALWAYS show them off!

This is what Cindy wore to {Osheaga} on night one.  She like {me} wore a maxi dress!  Doesn't she look fantastic!  The neon with the print is awesome, not only summery but sooo on trend.  She combined browns and blacks which even for myself I find difficult to do but seeing how well they work together it is something I must try to do with my outfits more!

Thanks for modeling for the blog Cindy, you look AWESOME!!!

Summer Fun...

Oh what a long weekend I had!

My girlfriends {Cindy} and Shannon and myself headed to Montreal for the {Osheaga} music festival.  And it was nothing short of amazing!  Super HOT, humid, rainy on the Sunday, fantastic music and my personal favorite, LOTS and LOTS of laughs!  Bands we saw included, Feist, Garbage, Sheepdogs, Franz Ferninad, The Black Keys, Metric, The Shins, Florence and the Machine, to name a few! 10, 000+ people easily (I have no idea if that is a true number, I am guessing cause crowds were MASSIVE) how could you not have a good time!

Outfit posts will be happening all week, but in the mean time here is 'breif' photo review of the weekend!
