Support Local.  We all should!

When Beth of Guelph's sweatshop free clothing store {GreyRockClothingCo}  posted she was carrying yoga jeans up to size 22 on twitter, I jumped right on her tweet!!  Guelph has no local boutique offering such jeans let alone mainstream sizes to plus size!!  When you offer such a wide range of clothing size options for women, they will come! lol

I gave them a test drive and man, I could do yoga in them!  Trust me!  Stretchy and soft they are a great pair of jeans.  I would totally recommend these ladies!  If you don't have a pair of black denim in your closet now you should get these, they will become a staple.  Easily.

It occurred to me this weekend when I was on an annual ski weekend with some girlfriends, that not everyone knows 'fashion' terms.  aka the CHAMBRAY shirt, layman's terms, a DENIM shirt.  lol So then I thought, I have to share this with my blog readers who also don't know!  Sometimes I take for granted what I know and assume everyone else lives in this little fashion obsessed bubble with me!

This past month after coveting this shirt for over a year was able to find one that fits me to a tee!  Thank you {Jessica Simpson} for making plus size fashion forward clothes.  I digress.  Since I have only had mine for a short time I have worn it everywhere!  But, being the snow here is incredible and getting some good 'What I Wore' photos for the blog has been hard I thought I would show you another blogger.  Emily from {Cupcakes and Cashmere} a blog I read daily has AMAZING style and she has taken this shirt in soo many different ways I knew I had to share it with you all!

You can dress the CHAMBRAY up or down, heck even sideways..lol  This trend that was EVERYWHERE last year is showing NO SIGNS of slowing down and going away.  If you considering buying a denim shirt DO SO!  Just call is CHAMBRAY, people will think you are really cool!..lol

Spotlight...

The July/August issue of {condolife} is out on news stands, and take a look who got a cameo, mama-sita JANET!!!  My mum attended a benefit evening entitled ‘Denim and Diamonds’ in support of WINC, Women in Construction.  This organization of professional women that service communities and individuals who need help or are in crisis.  In attendance were Canada’s top interior designers, Nicholas Rosaci, Glen Peloso, Jane Lockhart, Ramsin Khaci and Karen Sealy and more!  My mum was a guest of her friend Kathleen Kelly who works in lifestyle magazine advertising.

Weeks following the event my mum was still talking about all the designers and what a great time she had.  She even won an auction to have Glen Peloso do a home consultation on her house!

Doesn’t my mum just look like she was made to be in magazines!   You rock Mum!
