While doing up what was supposed to be an 'inspiration' post I stumbled upon a TREND that I thought was majorly worth noting; placing your coat 'over your shoulders'. 

What seems to be an "old fashioned" type of wearing is making a huge splash among the important fashion peeps.  So at a party this year or if you live in warmer temps instead of literally wearing your blazer, coats or jackets the usual way let it grace your shoulders.

Since the colder weather is in full swing I thought I would highlight some key trends that are showing up on store racks in the coat departments.  As a Canadian a great jacket is as important as a great pair of boots; they need to be stylish since we are in them for six months on average.  Personally I have many coats that way I am never too tired of just one.  Find the right style and best length for you.  Never just pick what is on trend if it doesn't suit your body shape and personality.  A great coat can mean a big money investment, so take the time to find just the right one that fits!
