Styling, Olympics...

Well it is Friday.. it is also the last Friday of the Olympic Games and the closing ceremonies are this coming Sunday.  It has been a great couple weeks, I have been glued to my TV as much as I can, I have cried at strangers life stories, celebrated wins with my fellow Canadians, and most of all I have been PROUD to be CANADIAN!

We might not have won as many gold medals as China or the US however it is my favourite colour and today's post is to celebrate the 1x gold we DO have!  Gold is that neutral that will never go out of style.  You can wear it like a Queen or wear it like Mr. T, either way it works! lol

This weekend take some time to celebrate life, friends, and win your OWN gold medal in some way!
I do not doubt that you DESERVE it!

Styling, Olympics...

going for SILVER

going for SILVER

Silver is a neutral staple in anyone's closet. It can be the base of an outfit, the pop of something sparkly, or mix it in a sequin it is a statement all on its own.

Yesterday was all about {Bronze} medals today is all about going for the silver!

My closet is filled with lots of grey sweaters, more silver jewellery than anyone should have, however I do not have any silver shoes!  Most I find are too stripper like or trashy, but loving both the heels and the TOMS in the collage; something I might have to consider adding this fall.  My favourite piece above though is that pattern smoking jacket!  In the words of uber-stylist Rachel Zoe, I DIE!

Strive to always find these neutral pieces when shopping and add them to your closet.  This colour will never go out of style, just like winning a SILVER medal at the Olympics, it is always fashionable!

Styling, Olympics...

I have been FULLY engrossed in all things Olympics since they opened on Friday night!
This week I decided to bring out MEDAL inspired collages!

going for BRONZE

In honor of Canada's first medal at these 2012 games, bronze in diving, today's post highlights just that!  Bronze is not an easy colour to find especialy when it is not fall, however when you find it, scoop it up!  It is a colour that is EXTREMLY versatile and would slip into your closet very easily.

Click on the above photo to see where to get these items.

Also, it is Monday and thus you may begin to wish for Friday!   Enjoy your day!

Olympics...

The COUNTDOWN is on!!!  Olympic Opening Ceremonies are in 3 days! Friday night to be exact.  I am giddy with excitement.  As a kid all I wanted to do was go to the Olympics, and well since we all know that didn't happen, I will settle for being a PROUD CANADIAN Athlete supporter!  I will be doing a few Olympic posts well because it is my blog and I can! hahaha

To start off, here are some great fashions being sported by some countries.  I couldn't find a picture of what our Canadian athletes will be wearing for the opening ceremonies but was able to find a picture of the track teams uniforms!

What are your favourite events?  Have an athlete you are personally rooting for?  Since my viewership is world wide let me know which country your support too!  Let me know in the comments!!
